TheSailingChannel interviews Lin & Larry Pardey at the 2011 U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland.
This was the first time the Pardey's had returned to the show in 7 years. It was part of an U.S. East Coast tour that included a sail on their first self-built sailboat, Seraffyn, a 25 foot Lyle Hess design in which they completed their first circumnavigation.
During their stops, the Pardeys met with many old and new friends. At the Sailboat Show, Lin spoke with young sailors - the next generation of cruisers, who look to the Pardeys as role models for the cruising life. Lin talked about her then new book, Bull Canyon that documents the three years the couple spent in a mountain canyon north of Los Angeles building their 29 footer, Taleisin, the big sister ship to Seraffyn. Lin announced plans to refit Taleisin on their return to New Zealand and to begin writing a new book about their sailing adventures in Taleisin. In 2017, the Pardeys published Taleisin's Tales - Sailing Towards the Southern Cross.
