Capt. Jack demonstrates the proper procedure to "come about." With this maneuver you alert your crew with the command, "prepare to come about" then the command, "helm's alee" as you move the tiller or wheel to swing the bow of the boat into the wind. The boom moves across the cockpit and the mainsail catches the wind on its other side as does the headsail, Once the bow is through the wind, you must trim the sails.
